Álex Márquez wrapped up the 2025 MotoGP season with a statement victory in the final Sprint Race at Valencia, delivering a near-perfect performance that showcased confidence, control, and racecraft. Starting strong from the front, the Gresini rider seized the lead into Turn 1 and never looked back. His pace remained unshaken throughout the 13-lap shootout, allowing him to cap his season with another sprint win and underline just how competitive he has become in the closing stages of the championship.
Behind him, Pedro Acosta once again proved why he’s considered the future face of MotoGP. The Red Bull KTM Factory rookie charged hard from the second row, quickly settling into second place. Acosta tried to pressure Márquez during the early laps, but the gap eventually stabilized as the race leader’s consistency made the difference. Still, Acosta’s ride to second was another reminder of his rapid adaptation to the premier class.
Fabio Di Giannantonio delivered a determined performance to secure third, finding late pace and executing his moves with precision. His effort added another podium to VR46’s strong 2025 campaign. Raúl Fernández and Marco Bezzecchi rounded out the top five, with Bezzecchi unable to convert his pole position into a podium after a sluggish start.
The biggest storyline outside the podium battle came from the Honda garage. On lap two, teammates Joan Mir and Luca Marini collided in a costly incident for the team. Mir attempted a bold overtake on the inside but lost the front, sliding into Marini and taking both riders out of the sprint. It summed up a difficult season for Honda, ending their Saturday with a double setback.
As the chequered flag waved, it was Álex Márquez who stood tallest — a strong, composed ride marking a fitting finish to the 2025 sprint calendar. With Acosta and Di Giannantonio completing the podium and Honda facing yet another frustrating chapter, the Valencia Sprint served as a dramatic and memorable finale to the season.
