Broski !!! Woo Woo Woo You know it, The Internet Champion Zack Ryder has returned on Smack Down.
Zack Ryder, whose last main roster match took place in March 2020, entered the arena to a strong crowd response, returning under his signature Zack Ryder character with his ‘Oh Radio’ entrance theme. Throughout the match, Ryder displayed the signature offense that defined his WWE tenure, executing moves including the Broski Boot and the Rough Ryder.
Despite this spirited performance and the skill he demonstrated over his 15 year run with the company, Knight ultimately proved victorious, defeating Ryder with the BFT to advance in the tournament.
Following the show, Triple H acknowledged Ryder’s return via social media.
You never know who might show up in The Last Time Is Now Tournament. It’s all about opportunity and @TheMattCardona proved that tonight,” Triple H wrote in his post.
This message was accompanied by a backstage photograph showing the WWE executive making his signature pointing gesture while standing alongside Ryder. The image represented a professional acknowledgment of Ryder’s accomplishments and significance.
Since his release, Cardona has established himself as a formidable presence on the independent wrestling circuit. He captured the GCW World Championship following a decisive victory over Nick Gage in 2021 and subsequently won the prestigious NWA World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Trevor Murdoch in February 2022. Cardona also held the Impact Wrestling Digital Media Championship during his time with that promotion, collectively earning recognition as ‘The Indie God’ throughout the wrestling community.
While Cardona’s tournament run ended quickly, his return affirmed his enduring place within professional wrestling and his continued value to WWE’s storytelling.
