Fans of Kaiju No 8 have reason to celebrate as the anime has officially entered production for its final chapter. The announcement came during Jump Festa 2026 and confirmed that the story will continue beyond Season 2 to cover the concluding events of the manga. A new visual and promotional trailer was revealed at the event giving fans a glimpse of upcoming battles and character developments. While no official release date has been announced, speculation points to a release in late 2026 or early 2027.
In addition to the main anime, a new original short focusing on Gen Narumi titled Narumis Ordinary Days was also announced. This short promises to give fans a closer look at the character in lighter moments between major story events. The original manga by Naoya Matsumoto concluded in July 2025 with Chapter 129, meaning the anime adaptation will now bring the story to its full conclusion.
