Carlos Brathwaite produced a remarkable final- over effort by taking Ben Stokes for 24 to win the World T20 for West Indies.

A superb bowling performance from England had left them on the verge of victory at Eden Gardens, after their batsman posted a sub-par 155-9 from their 20 overs.

West Indies needed 19 from the last over, bowled by Stokes, but Brathwaite made a nonsense of
the task by hitting four sixes in a row to hand his side their second World T20 crown.
