Fans are freaking out after spotting secret detail in new Joker 2 trailer revealing massive hidden character

Joker may be an Oscar-winning film, a Golden Lion winner at the Venice Film Festival, and a billion dollar movie.

But at its core, it’s still a comic book movie, so when you make a sequel – fans are going to be tearing apart everything you release to try and find hints of new characters.

With the new trailer releasing for Joker: Folie à Deux todayDC fans have already began pouring over the footage to see what they can find.

One specific detail in the trailer though reveals a massive hidden character, and you wouldn’t come across it by watching the trailer above. The only way to find it is to go on YouTube, add closed captions, and keep a close eye on who says what.

As first reported by DiscussingFilm on X, the closed captions on the trailer reveal the mysterious voice talking about the Joker, aka Arthur Fleck. The reveal showed that the mysterious voice belonged to none other than Harvey Dent.

Another fan said: “The introduction of Harvey Dent adds a fascinating layer to the narrative.”

With the film set to be a jukebox musical according to reports from Variety, some think this will suit the character to a tee.

One reply said: “Cool, hope he sings with two different voices while shimmying to the side showing both different sides of his face”.

Whilst the actor playing the role has not been confirmed, there are rumours already flying about who could take on the multi-dimensional character.

The leading theory is that Harry Lawtey, who came to prominence for his role in Industry, will play the role.
