Bron Breakker is the Newly Crowned Intercontinental Champion

It’s felt for weeks now that it was only a matter of time before Bron Breakker would be crowned the Intercontinental champion. He’s been running roughshod over Sami Zayn in anticipation of challenging him for that title at tonight’s (Sat., Aug. 3, 2024) SummerSlam premium live event at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.

Sure enough, that’s exactly what happened.

What’s even more incredible about it is how it happened — Zayn had a few moments during the match, making it competitive at times, but this was an emphatic victory for Breakker. He hit multiple spears, including a big one to close it out to win his first championship on the main roster.
