This episode featured two standout matches that showcased why the tournament has quickly become one of the most compelling competitions in AEW. Konosuke Takeshita and Roderick Strong delivered a gripping contest in the Blue League while PAC and Mike Bailey put on a fast paced and explosive battle in the Gold League.
Konosuke Takeshita entered the ring with confidence and left it with three valuable points after a hard fought victory over Roderick Strong. Strong’s technical precision and veteran strategy were on full display as he tried to control the tempo by grounding the powerful Takeshita. The match grew increasingly physical with exchanges that kept the audience invested throughout. Takeshita’s resilience and striking power ultimately shifted the momentum in his favor culminating in his decisive running knee followed by his finishing move to secure the win.
In the Gold League PAC and Speedball Mike Bailey offered a completely different style of contest filled with speed aggression and daring aerial offense. Bailey impressed with his athletic leaps and fast combinations that kept PAC on his toes. However the Bastard delivered the kind of punishing offense that has defined his AEW persona using strength precision and ruthless intensity. PAC eventually locked in The Brutalizer forcing a stoppage and taking home three crucial points.
