The Audi Revolut Formula One Team has begun its 2026 campaign with the successful fire up of its new engine. This milestone marks the first time the power unit has been started while installed in the chassis, signaling the transition from development to active testing. The team carried out the engine fire up at its Hinwil facility in Switzerland, confirming the integration of the chassis, electronics, and cooling systems.
The achievement is especially significant as Audi prepares for its debut in the 2026 Formula One season. Coordinating multiple development centers in Neuburg, Hinwil, and Bicester, the team has made steady progress in assembling its first works car. Following this initial fire up, the team will unveil its full livery and official identity at a launch event in Berlin in January.
With pre season testing set to follow soon after the launch, Audi Revolut F1 is gearing up to compete in the upcoming FIA Formula One World Championship. Backed by title sponsor Revolut and guided by experienced personnel, the team aims to establish a strong presence in its first season under the new regulations. The successful engine fire up demonstrates that the project is on track and sets the tone for the months ahead.
