Fabio Quartararo Reflects on Major Progress During Yamaha Inline Four Final Season

Fabio Quartararo has revealed what he considers the biggest step forward during Yamaha’s final season with the inline four MotoGP bike. As the team prepares to transition to a V4 engine in 2026, the 2025 season marked the end of an era for both the rider and the manufacturer.

Despite development efforts being focused on the upcoming V4 project, Quartararo identified significant progress in the bike’s electronics. He explained that improvements in engine management allowed him to ride faster while relying less on electronic aids. This refinement represented the most meaningful advancement on the outgoing machine and highlighted the areas where Yamaha concentrated their efforts during the final inline four campaign.

Quartararo’s career with Yamaha has been closely linked to the inline four configuration, including his championship win in 2021.
