Ferrari has officially ended its partnership with Zhou Guanyu following his stint as a reserve driver during the 2025 Formula One season. Zhou joined Ferrari after leaving his full time drive with Alfa Romeo Sauber and spent the year supporting the team while remaining connected to Formula One.
Zhou Guanyu made history as the first Chinese driver in Formula One and competed with Sauber from 2022 through 2024, scoring championship points and earning recognition for his consistent performances. After joining Ferrari as a reserve driver, he aimed to stay involved in the sport and position himself for a potential race seat in 2026.
Despite his efforts, Ferrari confirmed that Zhou will not continue in the reserve role, leaving him without a confirmed seat for the upcoming season.
