India Take Series Lead After Thrilling Win Over New Zealand


India secured a thrilling victory over New Zealand in the first One Day International in Vadodara to take a 1-0 lead in the three match series. Chasing a target of 301, India reached the mark with four wickets to spare, showcasing a strong batting performance.

Virat Kohli was the star of the innings, scoring 93 runs off 91 balls and guiding the team with experience and composure. He formed a crucial partnership with Shubman Gill, who contributed 56 runs, and later connected with Shreyas Iyer, who added 49 runs, to keep India on track.

The lower order also played a key role with Harshit Rana scoring 29 runs and KL Rahul remaining unbeaten on 29, hitting the winning runs with six balls to spare. New Zealand bowler Kyle Jamieson impressed with four wickets for 41 runs, but India managed to maintain their composure and complete the chase.
