European media giant Mediawan has completed the acquisition of Hollywoods North Road Studio in a move that strengthens its presence in the global entertainment industry. North Road, founded by veteran producer Peter Chernin, has built a reputation for producing a wide range of content including films and television series. The acquisition brings North Road under Mediawans growing portfolio and is expected to enhance the companys ability to deliver content to audiences worldwide.
Peter Chernin will join Mediawans board and serve as non executive chairman of North Road, while the studio’s leadership team will remain in place to continue overseeing creative projects. Mediawan aims to leverage its European production scale along with North Roads expertise in Hollywood to create a global hub for premium storytelling.
