Zack Olin has been named Senior Vice President of Development and Current Series at Disney Television Animation. In this role he will oversee the development of new animated projects and manage ongoing series across Disney platforms including Disney Plus and Disney Channel. Olin will report to Meredith Roberts the Executive Vice President of Disney Television Animation and work closely with creative teams to guide the studio's animation slate for children and family audiences.
Olin brings extensive industry experience having previously held leadership roles at Nickelodeon and Awesomeness where he worked on both television and film projects. His credits include Monster High The Movie XO Kitty and School Spirits. Earlier in his career he contributed to series at ABC and ABC Studios such as Grown ish and Speechless and began in development at Fox working on projects including Titan AE The Simpsons and American Dad.
Meredith Roberts praised Olin's appointment highlighting his exceptional creative sensibility and proven track record of supporting storytelling and creators. Olin expressed excitement about joining Disney Television Animation noting the scale heart and lasting impact of animation and his eagerness to collaborate with the studio's creative teams.
