The upcoming anime Ichijoma Mankitsu Gurashi is generating excitement with the release of its new teaser trailer introducing four new characters ahead of its April 2026 premiere. Based on the popular four panel comedy manga by Kumako Hisama the series follows Meiko Morita a high school girl who moves from the countryside to Tokyo after being accepted as a special transfer student.
Meiko ends up living and working at Hedgehog a manga café that doubles as a girls dormitory where she encounters a mix of quirky and colorful roommates. The latest teaser introduces Michika Narumi a first year student who works part time at a cat café in the same building. Majikarumomorin Gōda an eighteen year old who joins the dorm adds to the mix. Gao a popular streamer and Beruna his maid who is also a secret spy hint at comedic and intriguing story developments.
The anime is animated by Studio PRA with Toshinori Watanabe directing while character designs bring the manga's style to life. Music is composed by MONACA enhancing the lighthearted and fun atmosphere of the show.
