Pierre Gasly Becomes First Active F1 Driver to Invest in MotoGP Team

Pierre Gasly has made headlines by stepping into the world of MotoGP with an investment in the KTM Tech3 team. The Alpine Formula One driver has become the first active F1 competitor to hold a stake in a MotoGP outfit as part of a new ownership group led by former Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner.
Gasly’s investment is made through his personal investment vehicle alongside other global investors including David Blitzer’s Bolt Ventures and Main Street Advisors. The move comes as the KTM Tech3 team undergoes a major restructuring to prepare for the 2026 MotoGP season.

This landmark step highlights the growing crossover between Formula One and MotoGP and is expected to boost the profile of motorcycle racing among F1 fans. Gasly’s involvement demonstrates his ambition to expand his presence in motorsport beyond the race track while supporting the growth and global reach of MotoGP.

The 2026 season will mark a new era for the restructured Tech3 team, and Gasly’s participation as an investor underscores the increasing commercial appeal of the sport and the potential for collaborations between different motorsport disciplines.
