The fake oil was thrown over Jennifer Aniston while she was in character onset of The Morning Show, however, some people got a bit confused.
Apple TV+'s American TV drama The Morning Show delves deep into the cutthroat world of morning TV, tackling recent events and how they've played out in the news - from the #MeToo movement to the coronavirus pandemic. And a clip from the upcoming fourth season has revealed the moment Jennifer Aniston's character, Alex Levy, gets oil thrown over her by protestors.
Earlier this month on July 8, Aniston shared a photograph of herself and co-star Reese Witherspoon on Instagram signifying filming for the latest season is officially in motion.
And photographs and - even footage - has since been shared online of Aniston getting oil chucked over her, while in character, on set of the production.
A clip shared to TikTok - later circulating on Twitter - shows Aniston on set, standing in front of a group of protestors, reported by some as representing climate activists. Protestors are holding signs which read lines such as 'Truth Warrior', and then suddenly out of nowhere from the right, fake oil is brutally thrust towards Aniston.
Apple TV+ is yet to announce a release date for season four of The Morning Show, however, with production underway, it's expected to stream sometime in 2025.
