Zilla Fatu becomes double champ in rookie year, wins Reality of Wrestling Championship
Zilla Fatu, the rookie sensation of the AnoaÊ»i family, achieved an impressive milestone last Saturday, just one year into his pro wrestling career. At Reality of Wrestling’s Summer of Champions X, “The Main One” became Zilla Fa-2 Belts after beating ROW Champion Edge Stone to win the title.
In front of a sold-out crowd rabidly behind him at Walker Texas Lawyer Arena, Fatu captured his second championship in as many weeks. Previously, at the end of July, Fatu won the House of Glory Crown Jewel Championship. After claiming the ROW title, Fatu dedicated his victory to his late father, Umaga, while offering words of inspiration.

Last year, in July 2023, Fatu made his pro wrestling debut at ROW’s Summer of Champions IX. Shortly after, Fatu left the promotion and wrestling school founded by two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. He returned to the fold earlier this year.
Making his performance against Stone most impressive was how Fatu remained poised during a critical moment. Early on, Fatu slipped off the middle rope, attempting an aerial attack. Instead of getting flustered, Fatu kept his composure and transitioned into a double-leg takedown. Later, he drew “Holy Shit” chants from the Texas City crowd after clearing the ropes with a leaping trust fall dive to the floor.
In the closing moments, Fatu halted Stone’s momentum with a popup Samoan drop. He followed up with a splash from the top rope before delivering his Superman Spike to score the pin.
Booker T, who was in the corner of Stone, paid respect to his new champ on social media, saying, “Congratulations to @Zillafatu on becoming the brand new Reality of Wrestling Champion!”
Fatu’s win places him in an elite group within his family. The last double champions from the Samoan Dynasty were Roman Reigns, who held the WWE and Universal Championships, and the Usos, Jimmy and Jey, who were the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
