AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming 2025 brought an action packed night to Atlanta as fans witnessed major title history fierce tournament battles and a world championship showdown that closed the show on an intense note. The energy inside the Gateway Center Arena was electric from the opening bell and the event delivered one memorable moment after another.
The night kicked off with a milestone in AEW history as the first ever AEW Womens World Tag Team Champions were crowned. Babes of Wrath the duo of Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron battled Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa of the Timeless Love Bombs in a highly dramatic tournament final. The match featured relentless strikes creative double team offense and several close calls before Nightingale sealed the victory with her signature doctor bomb. The crowd erupted as the new champions celebrated their groundbreaking moment marking a new chapter for the women’s division.
The AEW Continental Classic continued with two crucial Gold League contests. Kazuchika Okada faced Jack Perry who stepped in for the injured Darby Allin. Perry surprised many with an aggressive fast paced approach pushing Okada harder than expected. Despite Perry’s explosive performance Okada secured the win with a perfectly timed Rainmaker showcasing his trademark precision and reminding everyone why he remains one of the most dominant forces in the tournament.
In another Gold League match Mike Bailey scored a major upset against Kyle Fletcher. With the match seemingly in Fletcher’s control Bailey used a quick roll up to snatch his first tournament points. Fans reacted with shock and excitement as Bailey celebrated a defining win that instantly shifted the group’s momentum.
Chaos erupted in the tornado tag match featuring Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland teaming up against The Opps represented by Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata. The fight spilled into the crowd before the match even properly began turning into a wild brawl through the arena. After a series of brutal exchanges Swerve landed his House Call to secure the victory for his team capping off one of the most chaotic matches of the night.
The main event saw Samoa Joe defend the AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston. Kingston fought with fire and heart throwing everything he had at the champion. Joe remained composed absorbing the punishment and unleashing his own crushing offense. After a hard fought battle Joe stood tall retaining the title and reinforcing his dominance over the division as the year winds down.
