First Look at Ducati Aero at 2026 Sepang MotoGP Shakedown Test

The 2026 MotoGP season officially kicked off with the Sepang Shakedown Test at the Sepang International Circuit. This three day test allowed teams to put new parts on the bikes and give rookies and test riders valuable track time. Aleix Espargaro set the fastest lap on Day One with the Honda HRC test team while Pol Espargaro and Dani Pedrosa also posted strong times.

Rookies made their presence felt with Toprak Razgatlioglu debuting on the Pramac Yamaha and Diogo Moreira impressing on the LCR Honda. The main talking point of the test was Ducati revealing a new aerodynamic package on the Desmosedici GP26. Michele Pirro took to the track with the updated front aero and wing profiles which are expected to be a major focus during the upcoming official tests in early February.

The new Ducati livery in the Lenovo factory colors also made its first appearance on track. Teams used the shakedown to gather data and refine settings ahead of the full pre season test where all riders will participate. The Sepang Shakedown provides an early glimpse into what can be expected in the 2026 season with new machines and updated aerodynamics shaping the competition.
