Guild of Music Supervisors Nominations Announced Sinners Leads With Three


The nominations for the 16th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards have been revealed with the film Sinners leading the pack with three nods across major categories. These awards celebrate excellence in music supervision and the way music enhances storytelling in film television video games advertising and trailers. Winners will be announced at the gala held at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on February 28 2026.

Sinners earned recognition for Best Music Supervision in a Major Budget Film as well as two nominations for Best Song Written and or Recorded for a Film. Music supervisor Niki Sherrod was singled out for her work and two original songs from the soundtrack “I Lied to You” and “Last Time I Seen the Sun” were nominated highlighting the strength and impact of the film’s musical direction.

Other films competing in the music supervision categories include A Minecraft Movie Wicked For Good and F1, demonstrating the range of creative approaches to integrating music into film. On television acclaimed series such as The Studio Dark Winds and Poker Face received nominations showcasing the diverse talent involved in crafting memorable musical experiences for audiences.
