Violinist Brian King Joseph Files Lawsuit Against Will Smith Over Alleged Harassment



Brian King Joseph, a professional violinist and finalist on Americas Got Talent in 2018, has filed a lawsuit against Hollywood star Will Smith and his management company Treyball Studios. Joseph alleges that during Smiths 2025 global tour Based on a True Story, he experienced sexual harassment and predatory behavior.

According to court documents, Joseph claims that while touring with Smith, someone unlawfully entered his hotel room in Las Vegas and left a handwritten note and personal items that he perceived as threatening and inappropriate. The note allegedly contained a message suggesting a private meeting and was accompanied by items including HIV medication, hospital discharge papers, wipes, and a beer bottle. Joseph reported the incident to hotel security, local police, and tour management, but he says he was accused of lying and subsequently fired from the tour.

The lawsuit seeks damages for sexual harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, and emotional distress. Joseph states that the events caused him significant trauma and harmed his career. Will Smiths legal team has denied the allegations, calling them false and baseless.
