In the third and final One Day International in Indore India faced New Zealand in a thrilling encounter. Virat Kohli once again showed why he is regarded as one of the best chase masters in cricket by scoring a commanding century. His innings was filled with elegant strokes and calculated aggression as he guided India through difficult phases of the chase. Despite Kohli's brilliant performance the team could not surpass New Zealand's total. New Zealand's bowlers executed their plans effectively at crucial moments and managed to defend the score to win the match and take the series.
